This podcast discusses cannabis and is intended for audiences 21 and over.

Ellen Scanlon (00:09):

Welcome back to How To Do The Pot, a podcast de-mystifying cannabis for women. I'm Ellen Scanlon. On these short episodes, we share women's stories about the first time they bought legal weed. I hope they bring a little fun and a new perspective into your week. Today's story is from Brittany Carbone, the New York based founder of Tricolla Farms and Bardo Labs.

Brittany Carbone (00:32):

It was actually a trip to Colorado for my sister's 30th birthday. And as soon as we got off the plane, got our rental car, first thing we did was go to the dispensary closest to the airport. We stocked up on everything we could find. I mean, it was just legitimately a kid in a candy store moment for me, it was definitely one of those dream come true, pinch me moments that I could actually step into a store, smell all these different types of cannabis strains, just see all these different types of products and actually be able to buy them without any concern of what's in them, or where it came from or anything like that. It was just pure joy, to be honest with you.

Brittany Carbone (01:15):

And we got a little bit out of hand, of course, started to eat those edibles, started to light up one of those pre-rolls. And before you know it, my sister forgot how to cross the street. I had to coach her through crossing the street without getting hit by a car. She thought that it was an impossible feat. She didn't know how she would possibly be able to do it. I had to just remind her about the basics. Look both ways, make sure there's not a car coming, put one foot in front of the other. But hey, that's dispensary newbies for you, right?

Ellen Scanlon (01:49):
