ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP:
Learn how to distill who you are and what you do in the business world. We’ll use these fundamentals as the building blocks for your elevator pitch with business writer and development coach Cat Caperello.
We’ll dial in on questions like:
– Who is your target market?
– What problem does your business solve for them?
– How do you tell your story in a confident way that communicates exactly what your audience needs to know?
You’ll learn to craft your elevator pitch and how to apply it to a range of different story telling scenarios in the marketplace, including about pages and bios.
Cat has served on more than 400 projects for every type of client imaginable – Fortune 250 firms, retail shops, international corporations, and solopreneurs alike – through her work at Masterplans.com and her own business, Caperello Creative. Put her wide ranging industry and market knowledge to work in this hands on workshop.

Join us as we work on our voices and presentation skills with professional trainer in presentation and public speaking, Lorelei Kennedy.

Crafting your Pitch with Cat Caperello
Prerequisite above recommended but not required.
ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP:
We’ll use the “The Ten Breaths Away method”, a series of 10-breath sequences designed to help you calm down, regain your confidence, and say what you need to say. The sequences can be used individually for an immediate effect or put together for a longer experience to help warm up and engage each part of your self.
These exercises are fun, easy to get the hang of, and provide a foundational base to give your body cues to calm down in order to COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY.
WORKSHOP OVERVIEW:
– Anatomy Lesson/Learn voice and body warm-ups
– Beginning sequences of the Ten Breaths Away method to include breath placement, body posture, and more
– Put your voice to the breath; we’ll practice vocal range, intensity and other qualities
– BONUS: confidence-boosting and anxiety-reducing poses useful for last-minute situations

About Lorelei Kennedy
Lorelei Kennedy was born and raised in the rural Alaskan frontier. Cold, long winters made her an indoor child and she spent most of her time reading by candlelight and cultivating an inner world full of sparkle, charm and whimsy.
Lorelei began a love affair with theatre in middle school and for the past 25 years has been seen onstage, offstage, and back stage shaping that inner world. She now teaches theatre classes to kids and breathing-based workshops for adults and gives them all the power to take center stage and say “this is who I am”.
When not teaching classes, Lorelei can be found playing guitar, avoiding the dishes, or getting her nails done. Lorelei received her both her BA in Theatre and English and her Master of Science in Theatre Arts – Performance from Portland State University. She couldn’t be more grateful to Devon Allen for her love and support throughout the program.
Above all, Lorelei strives to bring some of her sparkle, charm and whimsy to each interaction in the world!
