ABOUT KEIKO BEATIE

Keiko Beatie grew up working with natural herbs with her father and was cupping and massaging before she was ten years old. She has been a practitioner of Ayurveda, Chinese and Holistic Medicine with a specialty in Bach Flower and Homeopathic which is the science of flower medicine. Keiko has been studying various modalities of psychedelic care for mental well-being and was a student in 1979 at UCI with Ram Dass after his Harvard research of psychedelics with Timothy Leary.  Keiko is the Director of Education for Coral Cove Wellness Resort located in Jamaica.  This is an all-inclusive cannabis and fungi medicine educational wellness resort on the oceanfront of the crystal blue waters of Jamaica. It offers a daily wellness program along with kayaking, healing spa, yoga, tranquil lagoons, and an on-site dispensary.

In the past, Keiko’s passion for holistic natural plant-based fungi medicines took her to study at Esalen Institute, Twin Lakes Holistic College, Alive Polarity Institute, Paramhansa Yoganadas Ananda in Grass Valley, Calif. Institute of Intralegal Studies CIIS, UCLA, and LA College of Massage and Physical Therapy. Her studies lead her to be the third person in the United States to have a baby born underwater and she delivered her son herself. Keiko is a trained chef and has had the pleasure of cooking at some of the top natural food restaurants and trim camps during harvest season. She has cooked with hemp at the county fairs in California for eight years just to be able to share about the sustainability and health benefits of hemp.  In the past, Keiko worked in the music, film, and surf industry prior to dedicating her path to education and patient care with natural medicines. She has assisted in starting Women Grow OC, and has written for Weedmaps, Marijunia.com, Sensi Magazine, Edibles Magazine, The Retreat Journal, and now a writer for Canna Travel Life Magazine.

At this time, Keiko is a Board Member for many various organizations starting with OC NORML, The Cannabis Chamber of Commerce, Advisory Board Member for Cannabis World Congress & Business Expo, Judge for The Emerald Cup, Asian Cannabis Roundtable Board Member and Reginal Lead for the Cannabis Tourism Association International. The translation of “Keiko” is joy and happiness and she envisions this along with breathing deeply and peace within.
